JAXUSA Partnership is the region’s economic development initiative which uses strategic research and targeted marketing to recruit new companies and expand our existing business community. Talent attraction and development is key to ensuring continued success in the region. Paramount to producing a ready labor force is making career pathway resources readily available to stakeholders in our region’s talent work.
JAXUSA Partnership leverages a variety of regional partners to engage in this vital work. Under the Earn Up initiative, students, adult learners, and transitioning military members are provided easy access to resources that can be leveraged to set themselves on a course to success and economic independence. This website also houses a wealth of updated information specific to our region that is fundamental in deepening an understanding of educational and career opportunities available.
Leveraging the ample resources of Florida State College at Jacksonville, accelerated workforce training strategies, and personal development skills, Pathways to Work sets students on a trajectory to gain entry-level careers in construction, trades, culinary arts and global logistics. Under the program, local employers have a variety of options on how to approach their workforce needs.

JAXUSA Partnership’s Talent Team serves as the backbone for this ambitious collaborative impact group. Composed of secondary and post-secondary educators and community-based organizations, Earn Up establishes practices and resources fundamental in achieving this goal: 60 percent of Northeast Florida adults will have earned training certificates or college degrees by 2030. The collaborative is promoting “higher earning through higher learning.” The website Earnup.org showcases career pathway information via reports, success stories, and links to companies within the region’s targeted and support industries. This collateral is useful to our region’s educators, parents, and students, community partners, as well as adults and veterans seeking career pathway information. Earn Up also participates in events that educate and promote parents and students on financial aid resources to encourage enrollment and completion in academic programming.
Northeast Florida has other resource agencies with missions to assist local employers with matters related to talent and talent needs. CareerSource Northeast Florida is the direct service provider for various workforce programs which are fully supported by the U.S. Department of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Agriculture and other agencies as part of awards totaling $20.5 million (revised annually).
