SHRM Jacksonville will enhance your career! Our organization is dedicated to providing the resources that increase your Human Resources knowledge and visibility.
Monthly Educational Meetings – Hear industry experts address relevant and timely topics such as Recruitment and Retention, Strategic HR Management, Comp and Benefits, Training and Development, Employment Law and more. Each meeting provides either 1 or 2 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) through SHRM and 1 or 2 HR (General) credits through HRCI. Generally held the first Thursday of each month (except during the month of our Annual Conference). Open to both members and non-members; at a higher cost to non-members. Annual Conference and/or Summit – an annual, multi-day event that includes exceptional presenters and sponsors, and awards multiple PDCs through SHRM and HRCI for each day.
A Day on the Hill – A trip to Tallahassee to meet with our state legislators to address key issues pending before the Florida Senate and House of Representatives.
HR Florida Council Membership and Conference – All SHRM Jacksonville members automatically become HR Florida members. The annual two-and-a-half-day conference in Orlando is sponsored by the Florida State Council of all SHRM chapters. Professional Certification – SHRM Jacksonville offers certification preparation courses and study groups for the SHRM-CP/SCP certifications through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and for the PHR/SPHR certifications through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Student Chapters – SHRM Jacksonville sponsors and supports student chapters at several area colleges and universities to provide structured training, mentoring and development programs.
