Program Description

Human Resources professionals play a critical role in increasing an organization’s bottom line while simultaneously impacting productivity, retention, profitability, and innovation. This program is designed to positively impact those key areas by revealing engagement and retention strategies proven to increase individual and organizational value. Learners will understand how to leverage engagement strategies to positively effect multiple business functions, while focusing on the target of achieving larger organizational goals. This program is designed to stimulate critical thinking and questioning around performance management while developing individual skills that will help foster an engaged workforce and competitive advantage.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learners will be able to demonstrate and justify why improving employee engagement is critical in their organization based on the latest national employee engagement data, as well as their own data.
  2. Learners will be able to expand their role and that of the HR department through the analysis of key, employee engagement performance indicators while benefiting from new partnerships across business units.
  3. Learners will be able to implement and gauge the effectiveness of the 5 Keys to Genuine Employee Engagement throughout their organization.

Certification Information:

This activity has been submitted for 1.25 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) by SHRM and 1.25 Business (Strategic) credits with the HR Certification Institute. Please note that SHRM and HRCI pre-approved credits will only be administered to those who complete the 2-part registration process.

The 50/50 Drawing is a fun way to donate to the SHRM Foundation! During each SHRM Jacksonville sponsored online event, for each raffle "ticket" sold to event attendees, their name will be entered into a drawing. The winner of the drawing will receive 50% of the proceeds in the form of an electronic gift card. The remaining proceeds are donated to the SHRM Foundation. For in-person events only, 25% of proceeds are given to a local SHRM Student Chapter featured on the day of the event.
