About the Speaker 

Dr. Gloria Davis, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Dr. Gloria Davis is a business professional with over 15 years’ experience in all phases of Human Resources. She has previously worked in the financial, telecommunications and health and welfare industries. In her various roles, she consults with leadership on human resource issues ranging from labor and employee relations to compensation and benefits.

Dr. Davis has held several board positions for the Society of Human Resources Management, Jacksonville Chapter including Director of Certification, Director of Membership and Director of Workforce Readiness & Diversity. She currently works as Human Resources Director for AMPORTS, Inc., an automotive processing and logistics organization. She works as a faculty member with the University of Phoenix, where she has taught for the last 19 years in addition to Florida State College of Jacksonville where she teaches the Human Resource Management Certification Preparation Course.

Gloria received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Webster University, and a the Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. She also holds the Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) and the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certifications.
