Join Mark Lynn as he leads us through an interactive session on what recruiters are really looking for when searching for ideal candidates.

Job searching and recruiting can both be daunting tasks. Through this workshop you will find out how to "seal the deal" before your first in-person interview.

Bring your questions, and come learn more about:

  • How to create a condensed and effective resume (do you REALLY need an objective?).
  • Which resumes land at the top of the pile - and why?
  • Key attributes that recruiters seek in today's hiring spectrum.
  • Is there really an "ideal candidate?"
  • Contacting the hiring manager - do or don't?
  • Recruiters' best practices for candidates seeking employment.
  • What are "keywords" and are they necessary?
Presenter Mark Lynn is a graduate of the University of Florida. He began his career in Human Resources as an HR Coordinator at River Point Behavioral Health. He is currently a Recruiter with FSCJ. While Mark's main focus is with the recruitment of full-time and adjunct faculty, he also participates in the recruitment of staff roles. Mark is passionate about sharing his knowledge of the employment process and what really matters to recruiters.
